Every summer a local publisher creates a visitor's guide highlighting the Top 101 things to do in Humboldt County. Burt and I like to pick one up to show to friends and family who stop for visits and to find something new or fun to see. A new winery and restaurant less than 10 miles from our house provided some initial excitement, but this year's guide offered something special for me and my people, the beaders.
Number 3 on the list is "Get Creative with Beads"! That's right, readers, beads have made the top 10 activities in a county with parks, beaches, forests, rivers, scenic drives and fantastic weather. Now all I need is a drive-through tree bead store for the ultimate vacation photo and shopping opportunity!
